Crane Collapse at AMNS Plant in Hazira: One Worker Killed, Three Injured

Surat: A major accident occurred at the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) plant in Hazira today, when a crane near the plant gate suddenly collapsed. One worker tragically lost his life, while three others were injured and immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The sudden accident caused panic at the plant.
According to initial information, the incident took place in the morning while workers were performing their regular duties near the gate area. The crane, while in use, suddenly fell on the workers below, killing one and injuring others. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the crane collapse.
In an official statement, the spokesperson of AM/NS India said, “We are deeply grieved and saddened to report a tragic loss of life at our coke oven project site being operated by our contractor ITD Cementation India Limited. A tower crane being operated by the contractor collapsed leading to an employee of ITD Cementation losing his life and three others getting injured. All injured are recovering in the hospital and are stable.”
“Our deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family during this devastating time. We are monitoring the health of the injured and extending all support. We are fully cooperating with the authorities to comply with all procedural requirements,” he added. DeshGujarat
