Major cities of Gujarat reported cooler-than-usual mornings. Ahmedabad recorded a minimum of 15.2°C, nearly three degrees below normal, while Baroda registered 15.2°C (-3.7°C). Rajkot’s minimum settled at 14.8°C, a significant 4.7 degrees below the average for this period, and Gandhinagar recorded 13.8°C (-4.2°C). Notably, there was a minor rise in temperatures today compared to Sunday night, with Ahmedabad and Baroda observing a 0.2°C increase, having recorded 15°C the previous night.
Coastal regions, including Dwarka, Diu, and Porbandar, remained relatively mild, with lows ranging between 16°C and 22.2°C. Northern and western parts, including Naliya, Deesa, and Kandla, also reported below-average temperatures, contributing to the statewide cool trend.
Humidity levels varied across the state, with Naliya recording the highest morning relative humidity at 88%, while Ahmedabad and Surat saw moderate levels of 57% and 61%, respectively. Evening humidity dropped across all regions, reflecting dry conditions.
Weather officials have advised residents, especially in northern and central Gujarat, to be prepared for chilly mornings and to take necessary precautions. The cooler trend is expected to persist for the next few days before normal temperatures gradually return. DeshGujarat
