10 hunters nabbed from Iqbalgarh Forest Range in Gujarat; firearms seized

Banaskantha: The Iqbalgarh Forest Range team in Banaskantha district has arrested 10 hunters who were found carrying unlicensed weapons and engaging in illegal wildlife hunting.

According to officials, the group had already hunted a nilgai (blue bull) and was preparing to target more wildlife when the forest team traced and intercepted them. The group originally consisted of 14 hunters, of whom 10 were apprehended, while four managed to escape. A search operation is underway to nab the absconding accused.

Forest officers recovered several guns from the arrested hunters, including four unlicensed firearms. The seizure of illegal weapons and the arrest of the group created a stir in the region, as authorities continue to crack down on unlawful hunting activities.
