Morbi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Morbi is set to get its permanent office 12 years after the formation of the district, considered a BJP stronghold. The newly built BJP office, Kamalam, spanning 20,000 square feet near the Shanala Bypass, will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 20th November.

Alongside the inauguration, a felicitation ceremony for the newly appointed Gujarat state BJP president, Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma, will also be held. The district BJP team has begun preparations for the arrival of the Union Minister and the state president.

According to party sources, the inauguration and felicitation program will take place at Uma Hall, Rawapar, Morbi. The newly constructed Kamalam office was built at a cost of Rs 10.30 crore.

Until now, Morbi district BJP operations were run from privately owned offices of four former district presidents. Currently, the office functions from Akshar Arcade, behind Narsang Tekri Temple on Rawapar Road. Former District BJP President and MLA Durlabhjibhai Detharia said, “When I was District BJP President, I initiated the process of acquiring land in 2022. After 12 years of Morbi district’s formation, BJP has now planned to establish offices in all districts, and Kamalam has been built with 20,000 square feet of space near Shanala Bypass.”

The Kamalam office features a President’s Chamber, General Secretary’s Chamber, MP and MLA Chambers, Library, Media Center, Meeting Hall, offices for various fronts, Pantry, Conference Hall, Social Media arrangements, and large parking facilities. The office was completed following the foundation stone laying ceremony by the former state president two years ago. DeshGujarat
