15 more AMC plots up for sale; civic body eyes ₹1,824 crore revenue
November 21, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Standing Committee of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has approved the sale of 15 additional residential and commercial plots in Thaltej, Gota and Bodakdev, with an estimated revenue target of ₹1,824 crore. The decision was cleared by the Standing Committee on Thursday, ahead of an online auction for 13 other plots worth ₹1,188 crore on November 27–28.
Of the 15 new plots, 11 are commercial and four are residential. Two are located in the West Zone, nine in the North-West Zone and four in the South-West Zone. The costliest plot is located in Thaltej, valued at ₹345.40 crore, followed by another Thaltej plot at ₹306.46 crore. Two Bodakdev plots valued at ₹225.68 crore and ₹219.73 crore will also be put up for sale.
The Standing Committee also discussed concerns over AMC plots remaining unsold despite multiple auctions. To increase buyer interest, the committee proposed clearing building plan approvals within 90 days of purchase through a single-window system. Officials believe this faster process will encourage participation from builders and large developers. DeshGujarat
