NHSRCL launches 670-ton steel bridge over Cadilla flyover for Bullet Train corridor in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The 11th steel bridge, spanning 70 meters in length has been launched over Cadilla flyover in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat for Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train project.

This 670 metric ton steel bridge, located parallel to the Ahmedabad Mumbai tracks of the Indian railways, measures 13 meters in height and 14.1 metres in width. It was fabricated in a workshop at Navsari, Gujarat and was transported to the site using heavy duty trailers.

The bridge assembly was carried out adjacent to the Cadilla flyover and Indian Railway tracks on specially designed steel staging positioned 16.5 meters above the ground level. This steel bridge is constructed with approximately 29,300 Tor-Shear Type High Strength (TTHS) bolts and coated with C5 system painting for enhanced durability.

A total of 28 steel bridges are planned for the Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet train corridor, out of which 17 are in Gujarat and 11 in Maharashtra.
