AUDA demolishes illegal encroachments for new road project
November 25, 2025
Kalol: The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) carried out a demolition operation in the eastern part of Kalol near Diwda Talawadi to remove longstanding illegal encroachments obstructing road development.
These encroachments had been erected on AUDA-owned land for several years, hampering road work in the area. The operation was primarily aimed at clearing space to construct a road under TP Scheme No. 3.
As part of the city’s planned development, AUDA has proposed an 80-meter road connecting Arsodiya to the Saij Underpass under TP Scheme No. 3. This new road is expected to play a key role in future traffic management and infrastructural development in eastern Kalol.
During the operation, the administration targeted around 40 to 50 paved and unpaved structures obstructing the proposed road. Anticipating possible protests from local residents, the AUDA team carried out the demolition with the support of JCB machines and tight police security to ensure smooth execution.
The operation marks a significant step in AUDA’s ongoing efforts to improve urban infrastructure and facilitate organized development in Kalol. DeshGujarat
