Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Police’s Cyber Centre of Excellence has rolled out a special action plan under “Operation Mule Hunt” to dismantle networks of cyber criminals across the state. A high-level review meeting on the operation was chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi today, focusing on strengthening citizen cybersecurity and taking stringent action against offenders.
The meeting, held via video conference, saw participation from senior police officials including the CID Crime DGP, Police Commissioners, IGs of all ranges, and District Police Chiefs. Deputy Chief Minister Sanghvi stressed accelerating cybercrime prevention and detection, as well as enhancing coordination among all units under the drive.
He directed a special drive aimed not only at identifying mule account operators but also tracing the “masters” of the entire cybercrime network. All police stations and units across Gujarat have been instructed to actively participate in the operation.
Sanghvi also emphasized protecting innocent citizens during enforcement actions, ensuring that account holders with no links to cybercrime are properly verified and not unnecessarily harassed. DeshGujarat
