Shahibaug Underbridge reopens in Ahmedabad
January 28, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Shahibaug Underbridge, a key traffic link in the eastern part of the city leading to the airport, reopened for vehicular movement on Tuesday (January 28) after remaining closed for five days due to bullet train-related work.
The underbridge was shut on January 23, forcing thousands of motorists to take longer diversions via the Shahibaug Girdharnagar overbridge and the Dafnala Riverfront route. With the work now completed, traffic has resumed, easing congestion and reducing inconvenience for commuters travelling between Delhi Darwaza, the airport and other parts of the city. DeshGujarat
