Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has notified the schedule for houselisting operations under the Census of India 2027, with the re-publication of a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the notification issued by the Office of the Registrar General of India, the Central Government has declared that houselisting operations for Census 2027 will be carried out across all States and Union Territories between April 1 and September 30, 2026.

During this period, the houselisting operations in Gujarat will be conducted from April 20 to May 19, 2026. Prior to this, self-enumeration will be carried out for a period of 15 days, immediately preceding the start of the 30-day house-to-house houselisting exercise.

The notification has been re-published by the General Administration Department (Planning) through the Gujarat Government Gazette on February 2, 2026. DeshGujarat
