Air India flight delayed after multiple landing attempts at Bhuj airport
February 04, 2026
Bhuj: Passengers on an Air India flight from Delhi to Bhuj experienced anxious moments on Tuesday after the aircraft faced difficulty while landing at Bhuj airport. The flight, scheduled to land at 5:15 pm, reportedly made three unsuccessful attempts before the pilot finally executed a safe landing on the fourth attempt.
The aircraft remained airborne for nearly 40 minutes, circling the airport before landing, causing concern among the 167 passengers on board. Sources suggested that low visibility during the initial phase may have contributed to the delay.
Bhuj Airport Director Naveen Sagar said the pilot sought clearance from Air Traffic Control (ATC) after encountering difficulty in landing. Permission was subsequently granted, and the aircraft landed safely. He added that the exact cause of the incident will be investigated by the ATC.
Due to the delay, the Delhi-Bhuj flight landed about 40 minutes later than its scheduled arrival time. DeshGujarat
