Temperatures stay above normal in Gujarat, indicating warmer February

Ahmedabad: Gujarat continues to witness warm daytime temperatures and relatively mild nights. As per the weather bulletin issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) this morning, maximum as well as minimum temperatures at most centres remained above normal, indicating a gradual warming trend.
As per the IMD, Ahmedabad recorded a maximum temperature of 31.7°C, 1.5 degrees above normal, and a minimum of 18.6°C, which was 4.6 degrees higher than usual.
Surat registered a high of 33.0°C and a minimum of 19.5°C, both above normal. Vadodara reported 32.4°C as the maximum and 17.8°C as the minimum temperature, while Rajkot was among the warmer locations with a maximum of 34.1°C, though slightly below its normal, and a minimum of 15.4°C. Relative humidity levels during the morning ranged between 50% and 74% across these cities, and no rainfall was recorded.
State capital Gandhinagar also saw mercury above normal, with a maximum of 31.0°C and a minimum of 18.2°C. Elsewhere in the state, temperatures largely hovered in the low-to-mid 30s Celsius. Deesa, Veraval, and Dang were among the warmer centres, while coastal locations such as Okha remained comparatively cooler.
