IFSCA, IICA Partner for Capacity Building and Policy Support in GIFT City
February 21, 2026
GIFT City: In a major step to strengthen India’s International Financial Services ecosystem, the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the IFSCA Campus in GIFT City on February 20, 2026.
Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate on capacity building, policy research, and knowledge partnership to enhance regulatory effectiveness and corporate governance standards in GIFT-IFSC. IICA will provide training and policy support to IFSCA and IFSC-registered entities to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory and global governance norms.
The institute will conduct online certificate, induction, and specialised programmes for IFSCA officers in areas such as corporate laws, governance, ESG, and cross-border transactions and restructuring.
Singh said the partnership aims to foster a standardised corporate governance ecosystem, with an immediate focus on customised training, leadership development, and policy advisory support. Rajaraman emphasised the need for jointly delivered annual corporate governance programmes at GIFT City, including specialised courses for companies incorporated in the IFSC jurisdiction.
