DPR Process Underway for Kalpasar Project: Gujarat Govt

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has stated that the ambitious Kalpsar Yojana is currently in the final stage of preparation of its Detailed Project Report (DPR).

In a written reply to a question raised during the ongoing Budget Session, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who oversees the Kalpsar Department, said the DPR is being finalised. Once completed, the report will be submitted for necessary approvals from both the state and central governments.

Notably, the project, which was announced over three decades ago, is planned to be completed within eight years from the date of commencement after securing the required approvals, according to the reply.

₹260.21 Lakh Spent Over Two Financial Years

The government also shared financial details related to the scheme. As of December 31, 2025, a total expenditure of ₹260.21 lakh has been incurred over the past two financial years against a total allocation of ₹400 lakh.

In 2024–25, ₹147.53 lakh was spent against the allocated ₹200 lakh.
