Jafrabad LNG FSRU Project 92.3% Complete; Deadline Sept 2026: Gujarat Govt

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has informed the Legislative Assembly that the project to establish a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cargo has achieved 92.3% physical progress as of December 31, 2025.
Responding to a question in the Assembly, the Chief Minister, who also holds the Ports portfolio, stated that the construction deadline for the project being implemented by M/s Swan LNG Pvt. Ltd. had earlier been extended until December 31, 2023.
Providing an update on the current status, the reply stated that as of December 31, 2025, the project, located at Jafrabad in Amreli district, has reached 92.3% physical completion.
The Chief Minister further stated that since the work could not be completed within the stipulated timeframe, action has been taken in accordance with the provisions of the concession agreement. The construction period has now been extended until September 30, 2026. DeshGujarat
