AUDA to Build 36-Metre-Wide Model TP Road in Manipur – Godhavi
March 02, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has initiated the tender process for the construction of a new 36-metre-wide “Model TP Road,” along with 18-metre-wide internal roads, in the Manipur–Godhavi area (T.P. 429). The major infrastructure project is estimated to cost approximately ₹30.95 crore and aims to introduce modern urban standards to the developing locality.
A Multi-Modal Transit Corridor
The proposed model road will have a comprehensive 36-metre Right of Way (ROW), prioritising safety, accessibility, and convenience. Key features include dedicated 1.5-metre-wide cycle tracks, raised parking areas, and wide footpaths. To enhance night-time visibility and road safety, thermoplastic lane markings embedded with reflective glass beads and high-quality “cat-eye” pavement markers will be installed.
Enhanced Urban Amenities
Beyond conventional road construction, the project seeks to improve overall urban amenities through integrated street infrastructure. As per specifications, the road will be equipped with precast benches, decorative cylindrical bollards, and segregated metal dustbins for dry and wet waste. The plan also includes modern ACP signage mounted on gantries and cantilevers to provide clear directions and commuter information.
Timeline and Quality Assurance
Construction is expected to be completed within 12 months from the date of issuance of the work order. The engineering process will involve advanced techniques such as milling existing surfaces and laying durable layers of Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) and Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam (DGBM). The project will carry a 36-month defect liability period to ensure quality and durability.

AUDA has invited online tenders, and interested agencies must submit their bids online by today, March 2, 2026. The technical bids will be opened the following day. DeshGujarat
