PM Modi to Launch Tourism Projects Worth Rs. 67 Crore in North Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will e-inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for tourism projects worth over Rs. 67 crore on March 31, 2026, during his visit to Vav-Tharad in Gujarat. The projects are located at Rani ni Vav, Vadnagar, and Balaram Mahadev.

At Rani ni Vav in Patan, a light and sound show along with projection mapping has been developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 18 crore. At Sharmishtha Lake in Vadnagar, a water screen projection show has been developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 25 crore. Both projects will be e-inaugurated.

At Balaram Mahadev in Banaskantha district, tourism infrastructure is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 25 crore covering Vishweshvar Mahadev. The project includes facilities such as ghats, food kiosks, parking, entry gates, road systems, and related amenities. The foundation stone for this project will be laid during the event.

These projects are part of ongoing efforts to expand tourism infrastructure and facilities in the state.

The state government has designated 2026 as ‘Gujarat Tourism Year’ and has made budgetary provisions for the development of tourism infrastructure, including upgrades to heritage sites, facilities at pilgrimage locations, road connectivity, coastal development, and guide services. DeshGujarat
