The incident occurred when fisherman Jivabhai Rambhai Panjari, along with four crew members, ventured into the sea aboard their boat Jai Padmani Krupa. About seven nautical miles from the shore, a massive whale got caught in their net, causing the boat to lose balance and creating a potentially dangerous situation.
On inspecting the net, the fishermen found the whale trapped. To save it, they cut five fishing nets worth approximately ₹10,000 and successfully freed the whale. Their timely action ensured the whale was safely released back into the sea. DeshGujarat
