April 13, 2026
Surat: In a significant academic opportunity, 36 meritorious students from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Ichchhanath, Surat, have been selected for the ‘Early Induction Programme’ of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Under this programme, the selected students will be eligible for direct admission to M.Tech after completing their B.Tech, without appearing for any entrance examination. Notably, they will be exempt from the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), which is typically required for postgraduate engineering admissions.
The initiative aims to identify academically strong and research-oriented students early and integrate them into advanced research and innovation ecosystems.
As part of the programme, the selected students will spend the final year of their B.Tech at IIT Bombay, where they will gain exposure to state-of-the-art laboratories, globally recognised faculty, and a high-end research environment. DeshGujarat
