Fake Delivery Scam Busted in Surat; Over 33,000 Meesho Parcels Missing
April 13, 2026
Surat: A fraud involving parcels worth over ₹1.35 crore has come to light in Surat, allegedly involving logistics partners associated with the online shopping platform Meesho. Third-party logistics vendors and delivery executives are accused of siphoning off thousands of parcels by manipulating the delivery system.
According to officials, Valmo, which manages logistics operations for Meesho, had assigned delivery work to multiple vendors in Surat, including Speedy Logex and Ahmedabad-based AIM Logistics Services.
Investigations revealed that between January 1, 2024, and September 25, 2025, operators and delivery personnel from these agencies allegedly colluded to exploit loopholes in the OTP-based delivery system. They reportedly delivered fewer parcels to customers while falsely marking all shipments as “delivered” in the system. The undelivered parcels were allegedly misappropriated by the accused.
A total of 33,035 parcels were fraudulently marked as delivered and subsequently went missing, with the estimated value pegged at ₹1.35 crore.
The complaint was filed by Bengaluru-based S. N. Murthy at the Surat Cyber Crime Police Station. Police have registered a case against Speedy Logex, located in Udhna, Surat, and AIM Logistics Services, based in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, and have launched a detailed investigation.
Officials suspect the involvement of additional delivery personnel and possible higher-level complicity in the scam. DeshGujarat
