BJP Secures Majority in Shehera Municipality, 15 Candidates Elected Unopposed

Panchmahal: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured control of the Shehra Municipality in Panchmahal district even before voting day. The party’s candidates have won unopposed in 15 out of the 28 seats, giving the ruling party an early majority.
The party achieved a clean sweep in Ward 1 and Ward 5, where every seat was won unopposed. Notably, this victory ensures that the BJP maintains its uninterrupted hold on the municipality, a streak it has continued since the body’s inception.
According to reports, a total of 79 nomination forms were initially filed for the 28 seats across seven wards. Following the scrutiny process, 15 BJP candidates were officially declared elected unopposed, effectively sealing control of the municipality ahead of schedule.
