Former Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel is hardly seen on political platforms for last many years. Yesterday he grabbed attention by his presence on the stage in LK Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra public meeting in Ahmedabad’s Ghatlodia area. Both Advani and Modi first met Keshubhai and then took their seats.

Keshubhai Patel was the Chief Minister of Gujarat before Narendra Modi. Keshubhai was asked by Advani to step down from the post of Chief Minister before he could end his term. Later Keshubhai was involved in some behind the curtain activities against Modi, but it just couldn’t yield any result in elections. After his Rajya Sabha term was over, and his wife’s death in an accident, Keshubhai started keeping himself busy with Shri Somnath Trust. Keshubhai is heading this trust as a Chairman.
