New incharge Gurudas Kamat holds meeting of Gujarat Congress

Congress leader Shri Gurudas Kamat today arrived in Ahmedabad for the first time after his appointment as incharge of Gujarat Congress. He held a meeting at Gujarat Congress headquarters today in presence of AICC Secretary and joint incharge Shri Sajjankumar Varma(MP), state party leaders, GPCC state executive members, district presidents, MPs and MLAs.
Main resolutions passed in the meeting were following;
-Representation before Governor and President for resignation of convicted state minister Babubhai Bokhiria.
-Protest again giving agricultural land to industrialists. Backing the farmers who lose their land.
-Insuring crop insurance to farmers.
Speaking at the gathering Gurudas Kamat said that Modi is responsible for partition in BJP. A leader who can not keep his party united shall not be able to keep NDA allies intact.
Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia asked party men to follow the instruction of Shri Rahul Gandhi by calling executive meeting once in a month at taluka and district level. The details of such meetings should be published in local newspapers and a note should be made. Modhwadia thanked Shri Ahmed Patel for ensuring good representation of Gujarat in AICC team.
Leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela asked partymen to be united and forget internal differences. Senior leader Shaktisinh Gohil asked partymen not to think what leaders are doing for the party, but what they(party workers) are doing. He asked partymen to follow the advice of late Shri Rajiv Gandhi and respect each other.
