Centre’s approval to Narmada dam gates soon: Anandiben at Morbi

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today kicked off annual Krushi Mahotsav organized by the Government of Gujarat.
In her speech Anandiben said the permission to install gates over Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam is expected soon from the BJP-ruled central government. Shri said the installation process will take two and half years period then-after.
Anandiben Patel said her government was keen to bring back revenue records related to the state from Pune.
“Gujarat separated from Maharashtra in 1960. Some documents related to Gujarat’s revenue department could not be brought back and without the documents, the department was facing difficulties,” Patel said.
Anandiben launched i-Kisan portal and mobile application dedicated to Gujarat farmers. She urged farmers to use this service to get extensive information about agriculture related details and crops.
Anandiben said she feels privileged that her first public address as the Chief Minister is to the sons of soil – farmers and in Morbi. She described Krushi Mahotsav as an open university.
Anandiben was felicitated by various agriculture products. She said she will give away agriculture produce received during various function of Krushi Mahotsav to kindergarten schools to contribute to the fight against mal-nutrition.
