Siddhpur Cancer hospital functioning again after 2 months halt

Cancer hospital at north Gujarat town Siddhpur is functioning again after a halt of two months due to lack of permission related to radiation and absence of radiation oncologist doctor.
The hospital was started here when then local MLA Jaynarayan Vyas was health minister. As he lost the election, patients in hospital were transferred to cancer hospital in Ahmedabad.
After various representations in capital Gandhinagar, Atomic research board has again granted permission to permanent staff.
On 5 September, Government of India’s Atomic Energy department has handed over a letter to Scientific officer Dr. PK Das granting permission to radiation. Dr. SP Srivastava has been appointed as radio oncologist. While OPD and shake therapy is on, chemotherapy facility will be started soon according to hospital incharge Sanskar Dave.
