People of Jammu feel like they are paying price for being nationalist:Jaitley

In his campaign rally in Jammu region of poll-bound Jammu & Kashmir state, BJP leader and Union Minister Shri Arun Jaitley today said that people of Jammu region feel like they are paying price of being nationalists. Shri Jaitley said gave assurance that BJP government in J&K will serve all regions of J&K.

Shri Jaitley expressed surprise that local people had to do agitation for some land for 8 lakh pilgrims who visit the state every year for Amarnath yatra.

He said, BJP has won Jammu, Leh and Ladakh seats in Lok Sabha elections and this time in assembly polls, it will create history by winning some seats in Kashmir valley too.

Shri Jaitley hinted out that Jammu will have key to power this time with BJP in victorious position.

He criticized Congress and said Congress has only one strategy which is to join the party that wins the elections whether it’s PDP or NC.

Shri Jaitley said in Lok Sabha elections, even BJP leaders had not imagined to win seats more than 240, but party won 282 seats. In Maharashtra BJP had never fought more than 119 seat in coalition, but it contested alls eats on its own this time and won 225 seats. Similarly i Haryana, BJP never contested more than 29 seats, but this time it decided to contest 90 seats on its own and made a government on its own. Jaitley said, “if w make a door of our house bigger, elephant may come inside.”

He said, party is targeting over 44 seats in Jammu & Kashmir with same confidence this time.

Jaitley said Jammu region has always felt that it is facing injustice from the state government, but the BJP government in centre has approved IIT in Jammu. However land allotment from state is still awaited.
