Gujarat CM shares best practices for women and child development at national workshop in Haryana

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today during her address in national workshop on ‘best practices for women and child development’ at Panipat in Haryana said that Gujarat has adopted a concept of ‘Gender budget’ for self esteem and self respect of mothers/daughters/sisters.
Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar, Union Minister Menka Gandhi among others were present in this function.
CM said Gujarat has started women’s courts and has handed over Rs. 2,000 crore business to over 30 lakh women through more than 2 lakh Sakhi mandals under Mission Mangalam.
She spoke about Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts for girl child education and school enrollment when he was Chief Minister of Gujarat. She also spoke about achievement of 95% institutionalized delivery through Chiranjivi scheme. She also mentioned Khilkhilat van initiative in her speech.
Amrutam-Ma scheme, Beti Bachao-Beti Vadhao campaign, 33% reservation for women in police recruitment, Rs. 90,000 assistance to girls who get initial success in IAS,IPS exams. Incentives to women’s milk producing groups etc were other initiatives she discussed in a function which was also attended by MoS Vasuben Trivedi.
