Vadodara

The city-based Gujarat State Fertiliser Company would be supplying its new product, the liquid bio-fertiliser under the brandname `Sardar’, to Maharashtra.

GSFC chairman and managing director S K Nanda said the production of the bio-fertilizer started in November.

He was speaking on the sidelines of a seminar on `Gatishilta’, organised by the Information Department of the Gujarat government here.

The bio-fertiliser has been developed by Anand Agricultural University.

Nanda also said that GSFC had started commercial production of `Neem coated urea, which reduces water pollution and increases efficiency of the fertiliser.
