Narendra Modi visits Siemens facility in Berlin

Keen to attract investment and technology to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited the technical facility of German giant Siemens here to understand its operations.
Modi was given a briefing by the top officials of the company and was taken around the facility which trains about 1,300 students from across the world in high technology like railway signalling and other engineering skills.
Some students made a presentation to the Prime Minister about their work. Two of them made a presentation of making of a coffee vending machine.
He was also presented a gift, replica of an air tower, made by the students there.
Officials of Siemens said the company trains about 10,000 students. The company has significant presence in India.
This was the first official engagement of the Prime Minister after arriving in Berlin this afternoon from Hannover where he inaugurated the international fair.
