Vadodara: A new weir will be constructed on the Mahi River near Poicha village, located in Savli taluka of Vadodara, at a cost of Rs. 429.76 crore. The Chief Minister is expected to lay the foundation stone for the weir scheme on October 19th. 5 drown in Vadodara while immersing Dashama idol in Mahi river

Vadodara: Five youths drowned in the Mahi River here today while immersing Dashama idol. Two of them, including a home guard jawan, drowned in the Singharot Mahi river, while the other three youths from Ranchodpura village drowned near Kanoda village in Savli taluka. The Vadodara Fire Brigade responded to the incident and found the dead bodies of two youths, with the search for the remaining three still ongoing. Anand to get better quality drinking water from river Mahi

Anand: The residents of Anand city will get clean drinking water with less TDS from Mahi river under Nal Se Jal mission. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel has approved the scheme of Rs 132 crores for Anand for this purpose. The residents of Anand municipality presently get water with TDS value in range of 1200 to 1400, triggering complains about various health issues.
