Vadodara: A new weir will be constructed on the Mahi River near Poicha village, located in Savli taluka of Vadodara, at a cost of Rs. 429.76 crore. Vadodara: Five youths drowned in the Mahi River here today while immersing Dashama idol. Two of them, including a home guard jawan, drowned in the Singharot Mahi river, while the other three youths from Ranchodpura village drowned near Kanoda village in Savli taluka. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel has approved the scheme of Rs 132 crores for Anand for this purpose.
