Narendra Modi launches his blog, flood of fans downs server
Ahmedabad, 15 April, 2009
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi silently entered into the blogosphere on Tuesday. Modi’s first blog post was posted at 7:00 a.m in both English and Gujarati languages. It seems, his all posts in future would be available in both the languages to serve his Gujarati fans and his fans all over the India and the world.
In his first Blog post on NarendraModi.Com, Narendra Modi says, “Friends, Your endearing love and perseverance has motivated me to enter this ever evolving world of blogging.”
Modi pays homage to Shri Babasaheb Ambedkar, “Today is 14th April; 118th birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. I pay my humble tribute to this great personality who born in the underprivileged section of the society overcame difficulties and challenges he faced. His mantra was:Educate yourself, come together and stand for your rights”.
Terming election as a festival, Narendra Modi says, ” It is noteworthy that India is the largest democracy in the world and Election is its biggest festival. Quite naturally, just as festivals have multi colours, elections have many colours too. It is also understandable that the parties and the candidates have their own aims and goals. Being a citizen of India and a voter, we should harbour just one aim “How to make India more powerful? How to make India more prosperous? It is our prime duty as citizens to ensure our democracy remains more powerful, mature and all-inclusive. The interests of the nation should be the only feeling in the heart of every voter’s heart.”
Narrating his purpose to start blogging, Shri Modi says, ” Friends, through this blog, rather than knowing each other if we debate, discuss, view things from a diverse and a holistic approach then this in turn would bring the joys of collective contemplations.(1) A single thought can become a universal one.(2)From a step forward by one individual to giant strides by all.(3)Let’s change the approach from “Mine is good” to “Good belongs to me”.
At 12:48 a.m. IST, Wednesday, NarendraModi.Com‘s server was collapsed due to extra ordinary amount of Modi fans visiting it.
