Indian Premier League(IPL) – a four-year old domestic cricket tournament has turned out to be a big thing online. Like last year, this year to YouTube is bringing all the action straight from the pitch of this superstar cricket extravaganza. That too for all 51 days of IPL 4 (year 2011).

Youtube in partnership with Indiatimes, facilitates viewers IPL games as they happen. Not only this but viewing entire collection of previous matches has been made possible. On top of this highlight clips of all 74 matches are made available on Indiatimes’ YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/indiatimes). Fourth season(2011) of IPL has two new teams Pune Warriors and Kochi Tuskers Kerala along with the eight existing teams.

While last year, Youtube streaming of IPL was not available for viewers of United states and some other foreign countries, this year the IPL season streaming is available globally on YouTube. However in India the webcast is available with five minutes delay, and in U.S. it is available with match-length delay. The full-length videos of each match are being made available as soon as the match is over. This makes it convenient for offshore viewers in different time zone.
