In pictures:Giant swiping machines to clean Sabarmati River Front

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has purchased two swiping machines each costing around Rs. 64 lakh for world-class cleaning of Sabarmati River Front project’s walk-way and road. Each machine has container capacity of 6 cubic meter that can clean the surface of 8 ft. These swiping machines are suitable to be used in all weathers. 11.5 km walkways on each of the east and west sides, and 4.6 km road on western side of the River front are completed.
