8000 gifts received by Modi during 2012-13 to be auctioned

Gujarat Chief Minister received 8040 gifts during last financial year. He has once again decided to auction the gifts to raise fund for girl child education. The auction process will take place during 29-31 July for three days in 7 districts – Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Anand, Bharuch, Bhavnagar and Dahod. Collector of Rajkot and Dahod districts had proposed to host auction two years back. Lately they have been given the opportunity now. Chief Minister has taken a decision to keep 40 gifts with him. Such gifts include a pencil that he was gifted by a child during school enrollment drive, a shawl presented by Shri Morari Bapu, a wooden chakhdi footwear, Vivekananda’s hoto frame and some books.
