Ahmedabad, 22 April 2014
Sensing that irresponsible statements by party leaders and members of the Sangh Parivar may derail his pro-development poll campaign, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Tuesday sent out a stern message saying petty statements by claiming to be well wishers of BJP are deviating the campaign.
Modi tweeted:
Shri Modi tweeted: “With great happiness, the entire nation is looking towards BJP for going to people solely on the issues of good governance and development.”
“Petty statements by those claiming to be BJP’s well wishers are deviating the campaign from the issues of development and good governance.”
“I disapprove any such irresponsible statement and appeal to those making them to kindly refrain from doing so.”
Though Modi did not name any individual, Modi expression of unhappiness can be seen as his disapproval of the vitriolic rants by the likes of Pravin Togadia and BJP leader Giriraj Singh.
