Gujarat unveils new State Tax Department logo on GST Day

Gandhinagar: Today, on the occasion of GST Day, the new official logo of the Gujarat State Tax Department was unveiled by Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai at Gandhinagar. Along with this, the annual report of the State Tax Department for the year 2024–25 was also released by the Finance Minister.
On this occasion, Minister Kanubhai Desai appreciated the special efforts made by the Finance Department to bring reforms in tax policy, governance, and the state’s revenue system. He especially emphasized establishing trust, easing compliance, and ensuring better services through the appropriate use of technology.
Features of the new logo of the State Tax Department:
As per an official press release, the new logo of the State Tax Department clearly represents the evolving identity of the department. It conveys key principles such as transparency, technology-based reforms, and a ‘citizen-first’ approach. The logo reflects the department’s mission to build a strong, efficient, and taxpayer-friendly ecosystem in the era of digital governance.
The colours used in the logo also hold special meaning. The blue signifies communication and transparency, while the gold symbolizes taxation and development. This new logo also highlights the Finance Department’s commitment to modern, people-centric governance, the statement added.
Annual Report of the State Tax Department:
The Annual Report for the year 2024–25, published by the State Tax Department, documents the department’s efficiency, revenue performance, reforms, and exceptional work across various important parameters. The report clearly illustrates the department’s progress.
