A meeting of Kutch Collector was held with state Tourism minister Saurabh Patel and junior minister Jayesh Radadia in Gandhinagar in presence of Kutch Collector Mahendra Patel.

According to the details shared by Kutch Collector, Kutch Rann Utsav 2014 will kick off on 1st December at Dhordo. This is the 8th edition of Rann Utsav.

On full moon day on 6 December, Rann Utsav will be officially declared open by state Chief Minister.

The tent city located next to white Rann of Kutch will have 350 tents this year.

So far 1200 tourists have booked their tents.

A live craft park is planned in tent city.

If permission is granted by Indian Air Force and other armed forces, sky diving will be made a newly added attraction during Rann Utsav 2014.

Rann Utsav will continue for two months and five days this year(2014/15).

A few hours long Kutch Carnival in Bhuj which was part of the Rann Utsav will not take place this year. Kutch Carnival didn’t take place last year too. It has been permanently canceled.
