Ahmedabad: A video has gone viral on social media showing a driver of a city BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) bus watching an IPL cricket match on his mobile phone while driving.
This video showing gross negligence and carelessness by the city bus driver comes just two days after another video surfaced showing a tragic accident between an AMTS (Amdavad Municipal Transport Services) bus and a scooter rider.
After the video came to light, the Ahmedabad BRTS management has removed the bus driver from service. Additionally, a notice has been issued to the bus operator, Chartered Speed Ltd, and a fine of Rs. 1,00,000 has been imposed on the operator. The civic body has also announced that training for all AMTS and BRTS drivers will be arranged within a week. – DeshGujarat
