-There’s a new of another clash in central Gujarat. This one is at Verakhadi village in rural Anand. Clash was between Diwan and Vanzara communities. The incident of clash occurred over kite-flying. Three rounds were fired. One is reported dead.

-District administration of Narmada has declared all villages in 10 km radius of Rajpipla town as cholera affected. There are nearly 50 villages covered in this area.

-Seven person are reportedly dead during Makarsankranti festival in Vadodara: Motorcycle accidents killed 5; one killed trying to catch kites; bus runs over one.

-Fire brigade controlled fire in Ahmedabad’s Chandlodia bridge area based Yamaha showroom.

-Godhra SOG(Special Operation Group) has arrested four accused in a case pertaining to creation of bogus sponsor letter to send it to Pakistan.

-On the second day of Uttarayan(Vasi Uttarayan) there were total 1871 emergency cases recorded across Gujarat. Of them 321 were from Ahmedabad, 70 from Rajkot, 121 from Baroda, 139 from Surat. From across Gujarat 249 were road accidents, 23 kite related injuries 121 incident of falling from terrace, 51 were the cases of assault.
