4 killed, 9 injured in hit and run case in Gandhidham, Gujarat

At least four people including a woman died and eight other injured in hit and run case allegedly involving the son of a local industrialist late last night near IFFCO gate under B-division police station of Gandhidham city in Kutch district of Gujarat.
A speeding Fortuner vehicle bearing registration number GJ 12 CT 8309 first hit a scooty and later people on the roadside at around 2300 hrs last night. Three people including a woman died on the spot while one succumbed today, police said adding that the culprit ran away with his vehicle after the accident.
No arrest have been made in this connection so far even as locals alleged that the police was trying to save the culprit, allegedly the son of a know local industrialist.
Eight of the injured have been admitted to hospital.
