CM inaugurates high-rise police staff quarters, offices, anganwadi in Rajkot

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today said that Gujarat Government has decided to allocate Rs.500-700 crores every year to State Police Housing Corporation.
Dedicating four buildings to the police force in Rajkot, she said the State Government is concerned about the welfare of the last man in the last man. She said that senior police officers like CPs and SPs can stay at Circuit Houses or rent houses but small policemen find it difficult to find homes.
The buildings she inaugurated included Rs.5.07-crore ten-storey residential building for 40 head constables and constables, Rs.1.17-crore Aji Dam Police Station, Rs.84.27-lakh bungalow for Deputy Police Commissioner, Rs.43-lakh office of ACP and Rs.33-lakh anganwadi at the police headquarters.
She handed over the keys and inspected the newly constructed premises, and asked the users to maintain cleanliness.
Those present on the occasion included Union Minister of State for Agriculture Mohanbhai Kundaria, Water Supply Minister Vijay Rupani, Minister of State for Energy Govindbhai Patel, Pavitra Dham Vikas Board Vice-Chairman Rajubhai Dhruv, MLA Bhanuben Babaria, Mayor Jaiman Upadhyay, Deputy Mayor Darshita Shah, Collector Vikrant Pandey and DDO Manoj Kothari.
