Vijay Rupani meets President, PM and Vice President in Delhi

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today called on Indian President Dr Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi in courtesy call.
Generally any new Chief Minister pays courtesy visit to President and Prime Minister both. Rupani today formally visited both President and Prime Minister.
According to a statement issued by State government, the President during his meeting with Rupani told him that Gujarat is progressive and number one state. Moreover it is the home-state of Prime Minister. And therefore your responsibilities as Chief Minister are greater. The president according to statement conveyed his wishes for all success to Chief Minister Rupani.
Rupani felicitated the President by presenting shawl and a bouquet. This was Rupani’s first meeting with the president after becoming Chief Minister.
Rupani during his Delhi visit also met Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha Dr. Hamid Ansari during which Ansari recalled Rupani’s role as Rajya Sabha MP.
Rupani also called on the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during his one-day Delhi visit. The statement issued by the State government doesn’t elaborate anything about discussion in this meeting.
