Over a 100 hospitalized after marriage feast in Juhapura

Ahmedabad: Over a hundred people including large number of women and children were hospitalized owing to food poisoning during a marriage ceremony in Juhapura area of the city last night.
Many people started complaining of stomach-ache and nausea after consuming halwa made of bottle gourd (dudhi) during a marriage feast in Juhapura under Vejalpur police station.
Altogether 107 people including 23 women and 48 children were admitted to the VS hospital with complaints of vomiting, loose motion and stomach-ache.
Mayor Gautam Shah today said that a team of 22 doctors were deputed to take care of them. Most of them are doing well now, he said.
