Hardik’s meeting at Valbhipur proves to be a ‘fiasco’, less than 500 turn up

Correspondent, Bhavnagar/Ahmedabad: The public meeting of PAAS convener Hardik Patel at Valbhipur proved to be a fiasco of sorts today as less than 500 people attended it.

The meeting held near Lal Darwaza Amba ji Chowk of the town was part of the two day visit of Bhavnagar of the PAAS leader.

The thin attendance even embarrassed the local organizers.

Meanwhile his supporters today also staged demonstration at police commissioner office in Ahmedabad today for not getting police permission to hold Hardik;s meeting on road-side in Nikol area. Police has said that it could not allow a meeting on the road-side and if the organizers select any ground as a venue then the permission could be granted.

Meanwhile, Hardik is seemingly loosing his sheen post his return to Gujarat last month after spending six months outside the state as per his bail conditions in the two sedition cases lodged against him.

Some of the political observers believe that factors like allegations of misuse of fund collected for the quota stir to lead luxurious life, parting ways with several ex-partners, resurfacing of differences between Leua and Kadva sections of Patidar community, sticking to many irrelevant demands which don’t seem possible and the changed stance of Gujarat government post change of guard in August last year taking many pro-people decision has led to the loosing of sheen of the self styled Patidar leader.

The fiasco of his meeting at Valbhipur today has taken place a day after his alleged controversial statements as another meeting in Surat where he had reportedly said that those who were not supporting his agitation on the BJP’s insistence had defect in their DNA. He had also termed the 44 Patidar MLA’s in Gujarat assembly as donkeys.
