Bhuj: Days after the declaration of official ban on deadly Blue whale challenge internet game, which has gained notoriety as suicide game by the Gujarat government, a girl student of class 10 of a prestigious private school in port town Mundra of Kutch district has allegedly been caught playing the game.
The girl said to be the daughter of an employee of Mundra Port was reportedly caught on information of her school-mates.
Though the lower level police officials of Mundra police station were keeping a mum on the issue yet SP Kutch East Makrand Chauhan said that the girl was found to be just carrying a tattoo of the blue whale game symbol on her arm. ‘We have so far this much of information and for privacy reasons we can’t share other details,’ he said.
Meanwhile sources claimed that the girl was taken to a psychiatrist for counseling to give up the game and avoid any future involvement in it.
Notably, the end stage of the game prompts the players to commit suicide or do such risky tasks which lead to death.
The state government has also announced an award of Rs one lakh to whoever informs about the link provider of the game. The home department in the state had issued a notification on September 5 banning the game.
