PM dedicates to nation dairy plant worth of Rs. 150 crore at Amreli, Gujarat

Amreli: The Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi today dedicated to the nation the state-of-art dairy processing, packing and cattle-feed plant built at a cost of Rs. 150-crore at Amreli, Gujarat. Beside these, Mr. Modi also laid foundation-stone for the ice-cream plant to be built in 10-acre of land in the dairy’s campus at a cost of Rs. 20-Cr.

Other who remained present on the occasion included, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani, deputy chief minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel, former chief minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel, BJP State President Mr. Jitubhai Waghani, MLA Bharat Pandya, former minister Mrs. Jasumatiben Korat, Amar Dairy’s chairman Mr. Ashwinbhai Savaliya, vice-chairman Mr. Mukeshbhai Sanghani, dairy’s director Ms Bhavnaben, managing director Mr. Patel and others.

Like AMUL Dairy, the Amar Dairy is also collecting milk through village dairy co-operative societies. The dairy was started in year-2007 with collection of 2500 kg milk from 26 villages of the district, now it has more than 28,000 members and collecting 1.60-lakh kg milk per day. The dairy has 23 milk collection centers and 43 bulk-milk coolers. The Amar Dairy is paying Rs. 7-crore every 10-day to the animal feeders (Maldharis). The dairy has total 558 automatic milk collection centers. Its annual turnover was Rs. 171.14-crore for the year-2016-17 and profit was Rs. 3.16-crore.
A farmers’ Training Center has been planned at the Amar Dairy for the honey-bees farming and honey production plants to be developed there.

The Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi and Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani also made tree-plantations at the Amar Dairy’s complex.
