By Mahesh Lad, Bhat (Gandhinagar):
BJP president Amit Shah today termed the upcoming Gujarat assembly polls as a ‘battle of prestige’ and appealed the people to give 3/4th majority to the party and uproot and wipe-out Congress.
Addressing a massive rally of the party here attended by over seven lakh people in presence of PM Narendra Modi, Shah said, ‘Gujarat was the foundation of development in the country and the anti-development Congress wants to shake this foundation but no one has the capacity to do so. When the Six crore people of Gujarat and one crore BJP workers from the state would enter the booths chanting Bharat Mata ki jai, it (Congress) won’t look anywhere.’
