Gandhinagar: The Election Commission of India today displayed a newly designed voting compartment in capital Gandhinagar here. Steel grey color compartment will be used across all polling stations in the State uniformally. The new design will help in keeping the choice of voters secret. 24 x 24 x 30 (lengh, width, height) compartment will be reusable. It will contain one ballot unit and one VVPAT. However in case there are more than 15 candidates in any assembly seat, the number of ballot unit will be doubled.
