Morva Hadaf independent candidate extends support to Congress

Ahmedabad: Independent candidate elected to Gujarat assembly from Morva Hadaf seat of Central Gujarat, Bhupendra Khant has extended his support to Congress party. Khant is one of two independent MLAs elected to assembly in recently concluded general election of Gujarat. Khant had contested as independent as Congress has not given him ticket. Khant today afternoon met Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Ahmedabad and announced the decision. Another independent Ratansinh Rathod elected from Lunawada seat has extended his support to BJP a day ago from outside. Rathod was Congress rebel. He was suspended from party for his rebel candidature. Congress had given outsider Paranjayditya Parmar ticket to contest from Lunawada. Parmar is son in law of Congress leader Digvijay Singh.
