Gandhinagar:

New Finance Minister of Gujarat, Saurabh Patel today official took charge of his office here.

Patel, who was also given charge of Energy portfolio as a cabinet minister apart from much coveted Finance (which he had held earlier too), told newsmen after taking charge that he was grateful to CM Vijay Rupani and DyCM Nitin Patel for reposing faith in him.

He said that he would try to make a people friendly and all inclusive budget as the finance minister this year.

Patel said that yesterday he had visited his constituency Botad to take the blessing of locals and Saints before taking charge of the office today.
